Inter-American Defense College held its World Situation Conference on Fort Lesley J. McNair in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 8-10, 2023. During their conference Participants engaged in a strategic-level analysis organized by Brazilian Army and professor Col. Fábio Araújo. HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Sept. 5, 2022) - Hotoravu Alenge, chief of operations for Solomon Islands' National Emergency Operation Centre and National Disaster Management Office, speaks about Solomon Islands humanitarian assistance and disaster (HADR) relief capabilities during Pacific Partnership 2022. HADR training allows partnering nations to strengthen capabilities and interoperability with one another in order to respond in times of need. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations. The years mission in Solomon Islands will include participants from the United States, Japan and Australia.
