Traveling overseas can be a daunting experience. Arriving to a new duty station, in a different country, and not knowing anyone or even being able to speak the nation's language. These are all things that can create stress for Soldiers arriving. The 16th Sustainment Brigade hosts Newcomer Briefs to ease this transition and welcome these new Soldiers, from all Units in the Baumholder area, to our ranks. During the brief, COL Estrada and CSM Aguillen, introduce themselves and share all the amazing aspects of this duty station. They share the support the Soldiers can utilize in this transition and where to find them. It also allows for a Patching Ceremony where Leaders will formally patch these arriving Soldiers, officially welcoming them to the Knights Family.

Our theme for this years symposium is ADA for Army 2030 - Enabling the Maneuver Commander. This theme originates from Air Defenses significant growth and modernization efforts to provide additional capability and capacity to the operational force. Invited speakers include senior leaders of the Army with vast AMD experience to include General James Dickinson, LTG Daniel Karbler, MG Sean Gainey, and the AAMDC Commanders. Additionally, LTG Donahue will provide a Corps Commander's perspective of what capabilities are required from Air Defense Artillery to enable the maneuver force. These discussions will aid in the development of the AMD force for the Army of 2030.

Tough Ombres from the 910 Quartermaster Company out of Ardmore, Oklahoma arrived at Fort Irwin, California today for an upcoming rotation in the box at the National Training Center. The 910 is providing petroleum support to the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment out of Fort Hood, Texas. 90th Sustainment Brigade Commander, Col. The proclamation enables the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) and other state agencies, in close coordination with the City of Chicago, Cook County, and other local governments, to ensure the individuals and families receive the assistance they need.
