Communication of the Matchmaker III Squadron in Hamilton, Bermuda. Joined Hr.Ms crews. Limburg, USS Zellars, HMS Berwick and USS MC CLOY. The governor of Bermuda, Lord Martonmere, the Squadron commander, Captain at sea F. Visee, and other dignitaries listen to playing the three folk songs. Hr.ms. Limburg was part of the Nato Squadron Matchmaker III from January 15 to March 3, 1967 (Matchmaker was the precursor of the Standing Naval Force Atlantic (StanavForlant) that has existed from 1968). During that period, Matchmaker III also consisted of USS Zellars (DD777), HMS Berwick (F115) and USS McCloy (DE1038). The Netherlands led the command about Matchmaker III from 15 January to 20 August 1967. Commander of the Matchmaker III Squadron (Commatchron) was Captain at sea F. Visee. Commander of the Hr.Ms flagship. Limburg was Captain-Lieutenant at sea J. Jansen.

On 7 November 1944, a celebration of the 27th Anniversary of the Red Revolution was held at Poltava, Russia. Huge clouds gathered in the park of the city to hear speeches honoring the occasion.

Before this simple memorial which stands on Utah Beach to the memory of war dead of the United States Special Engineer Brigade, stands President of France Vincent Auriol (wearing glasses). Detachment 101, an enigmatic Allied intelligence and special operations unit during World War II, played a pivotal role in the Burmese theater. Operating deep in the jungles of Burma, their mission was multi-faceted, encompassing guerrilla warfare, espionage, and sabotage against Japanese forces. Comprising a diverse group of individuals, from OSS agents to indigenous fighters, they effectively disrupted Japanese supply lines, gathered critical intelligence, and supported resistance movements.
