Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, born Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (22 April 1870 - 21 January 1924) was a Russian communist revolutionary, politician and political theorist. Lenin served as the leader of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic from 1917, and then concurrently as Premier of the Soviet Union from 1922, until his death. Under his administration, the Russian Empire disintegrated and was replaced by the Soviet Union, a single-party constitutionally socialist state; all wealth including land, industry and business were nationalised. Based in Marxism, his theoretical contributions to Marxist thought are known as Leninism.

On May 27, 1948, Nguyễn Văn Xun, then President of the Republic of Cochinchina, became President of the rightist Provisional Central Government of Vietnam (Thủ tướng lm thời) following the merging of the government of Cochin China and Vietnam. Nguyễn Văn Xun later went into exile in France, where he died in 1989.

Tung Padevat (Revolutionary Flag) was a Khmer-language journal in Democratic Kampuchea. Tung Padevat was one of the theoretical organs of the Communist Party of Kampuchea. The first issue was published in January 1975. It was published monthly at least until September 1978. Circulation seems to have been restricted to senior party members.

Jose Buenaventura Durruti Dumange (14 July 1896 20 November 1936) was a central figure of Spanish anarchism during the period leading up to and including the Spanish Civil War. Anarchism has historically gained more support and influence in Spain than anywhere else, especially before Francisco Franco's victory in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939. There were several variants of anarchism in Spain: expropriative anarchism in the period leading up to the conflict, the peasant anarchism in the countryside of Andalusia; urban anarcho-syndicalism in Catalonia, particularly its capital Barcelona.
