Lucas Murray (far right) leads a group Iraqi civilians in the construction of a playground set donated by Big Toys, Inc., an American company, at a school in Abraham Jaffas, Iraq. Sgt. Murray, a Landscape Architect from Boston, Mass, contacted Big Toys, Inc. about donating a playground for Iraqi children. The company agreed and gave Murray three sets to choose from. The chosen set was then flown on a military aircraft through the Denton Program, a non-profit transportation venture that coordinates space on U.S. Military flights for donor organizations to ship cargo around the world. U.S. Army soldiers from three different units, Iraqi Army soldiers, and Iraqi civilians all helped out with the assembly of the playground set at the school.U.S. Navy

The ADT worked hand-in-hand with village elders to administer vaccinations to 462 farm animals and hosted more than 100 local farmers who brought their livestock to the event. DOMINICA (Sept. 25, 2017) Naval Aircrewman (Helicopter) 1st Class Erick Sotelo of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 22 (HSC 22), attached to the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1), comforts an evacuee following the landfall of Hurricane Maria. Dominica residents are being evacuated from their island to the nearby islands of Martinique and Guadalupe. The Department of Defense is supporting the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the lead federal agency, in helping those affected by Hurricane Maria to minimize suffering and is one component of the overall whole-of-government response effort.
