London-New York and Back In 14½ Hours -- The records-making Canberra taxis across a London Airport runway last night on its return from New York. Navigator Moneypenny is nearest camera. A silver-painted English Electric Canberra Jet Bomber roared over London last night after a 14½-hour flight to New York and back, during which it established three speed records. The plane-piloted by Moustached John Hacktt and navigated Peter Moneypenny took off at 7.10 A.M. and arrived home again at 9.41 P.M.

The Rigel Government Vessel (1931-1939) at full power. The folded stern golf comes on the stern on deck. The ship was furnished as an auxiliary lining and as a hunt for the Governor General in the Dutch East Indies. In October 1939 the ship was advanced by the Royal Navy and became as Hr.Ms. Rigel employed. On March 2, 1942, the Rigel to be sinked by the crew to be sinked as a block vessel. Lichted by the Japanese in March 1944 to recover. In 1945 Tandjong Prizound found in very poor condition and returned to the GM.

American Aircraft in Royal Air Force Service 1939-1945- Curtis Hawk 81a Tomahawk. Tomahawks of No. 26 Squadron RAF based at Gatwick, Sussex, in flight. AH893 RM-D and AH896 RM-Y are Mark IIAs, while AH791 RM-E is a Mark I. All Tomahawks based in the United Kingdom operated as low-level tactical reconnaissance aircraft with Army Co-operation Command, hence the oblique camera ports visible on the port fuselage side of these aircraft.
