The CONSTITUTION was launched on October 21, 1797, and is the oldest ship remaining on the Navy list. The ship's guns, masts and rigging have been removed. Officials Leave Polish Steamer In Thames -- Police officers and other officials leave the 3,219 tons Polish steamer "Jaroslaw Dabrowski" in Woolwich Reach today after investigating the finding of the exhausted stowaway, 24 year-old Antoni Klimowicz, in the hold. The United Kingdom Home Office ordered the detention of the vessel by the vessel by the river police and it was stopped in Woolwich Reach after a night dash down the Thames in launches. A superintendent of Scotland Yard's Special Branch was among the British officials who boarded the "Jaroslaw Dabrowski". July 31, 1954.
