The 2019 Lunar Rover Challenge Competition was hosted by the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This annual event celebrated the 25th anniversary of what began as the Great Moonbuggy Race in 1994. High school and College teams from the United States and foreign countries competed. The awards ceremony was held at the adjacent Marriott on Saturday evening.

The Navy-Marine Corps Classic is hosted by the city of Jacksonville which, along with its surrounding communities, has a long tradition of supporting Sailors and Marines. The game honors veterans, active and reserve service members, and military families. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, FLA. - On the grounds of the University of Central Florida, the KSC-sponsored Pink” team checks out its robot for the 2004 Florida Regional FIRST competition. The event hosted 41 teams from Canada, Brazil, Great Britain and the United States. Among observers at the annual event were Center Director Jim Kennedy and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who spoke at the event luncheon. FIRST is a nonprofit organization, For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, that sponsors the event pitting gladiator robots against each other in an athletic-style competition. The FIRST robotics competition is designed to provide students with a hands-on, inside look at engineering and other professional careers, pairing high school students with engineer mentors and corporations.

Weesenstein Whitsun Knights Tournament

Sponsors, charities, and vendors provide race finishers and family members entertainment and goodies during the 47th Marine Corps Marathon Finish Festival in Arlington, Virginia, on Oct. 30, 2022. Organized by the men and women of the United States Marine Corps, the 47th MCM is the first live event since 2019.
