Sixteen European Coins, Jacques Callot, 1662 print Sixteen European coins, depicted in three columns - one column of 6 coins and two columns of 5 coins. This print is part of a series of ten prints with performances of coins that were put into circulation in Europe between 1522 and 1629, mainly in Germany and Italy. Of each coin, the front and back are shown next to each other, connected by a cartouche with the letters AR (Argentum - silver) or AV (Aureum - Gold).
