The napkin belongs to five napkins (BK-1973-194-A to BK-1973-194-F) who were made for David Rutgers (1629-1707) and his wife Margaretha Block (1638-1702). Above it a house with side wings, stepped gables and cross windows. 3 The proclamation to Joseph. Above the sleeping Joseph, with beard and hat, leaning the head in the hands, and an angel -dressed angel with jet wreath. 4 The flight to Egypt. In the middle a palm tree and aside Joseph with a knapsack over the shoulder, surrounding the donkey on which Mary with the Christ child. A man or boy has climbed in a tree.
