BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - U.S. Air Force pararescuemen from the 83rd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron move mock patient, Airman 1st Class Benjamin Martin, out through a hole in the floor during a mission rehearsal in an excess structure here Aug. 26, 2014. The event allowed PJs to hone their breaching, clearing, patient care, and egress skills. Air Force rescue forces conduct combat search and rescue and personnel recovery operations. Tyler Joles, from Minneapolis, Minn., assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit 1, Naval Expeditionary Combatant Command, examines tracking equipment for a raise-tow-beach (RTB) mine exploitation exercise aboard San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27) during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) 2022 in Southern California. Twenty-six nations, 38 ships, four submarines, more than 170 aircraft and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC from June 29 to Aug. 4 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The worlds largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security on the worlds oceans.
