Franziska Graube-Kühne from Sachsenernergie, explains the plant. Using only the energy of the sun, the 140 modules in Dresden-Räcknitz can generate 700 megawatt hours of heat per year in the form of hot water. SachsenEnergie feeds this greenhouse gas-neutral district heating into the grid on site. Another small building block in the greening of Dresden's district heating has been completed. The solar thermal plant will increase the proportion of greenhouse gas-neutral heat generated in Dresden's district heating network. SachsenEnergie began planning the solar thermal plant in 2020. The project is being subsidised with 1.15 million euros from the National Climate Initiative (NKI) . A total of 2 million euros is required for the realisation, Dresden, Saxony, Germany, Europe
