For the book 'Art and Society' (an editing by Jan Veth van Walter Crane's book 'The Claims of Decorative Art', 1892) Gerrit Willem Dijsselhof designed a number of cup vignettes. Both in terms of topic, representation and implementation they exhibit agreements with some prints of Escher shown here. Although these riders overlap, this work strongly makes its 'Horseman' think.
