NORFOLK (April 16, 2022) - A Sailor assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher (DDG 57), embraces his family after the ship's return to homeport, Naval Station Norfolk, April 16. Mitscher deployed to the European theater of operations and participated in a range of maritime activities in support of Naval Forces Europe and NATO Allies.

Jason Dunham was deployed as part of the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group.

SAN DIEGO (Nov 21, 2018) Mineman 1st Class Derek Smith, assigned to the future littoral combat ship USS Tulsa (LCS 16), is greeted by his family during a homecoming at Naval Base San Diego. Tulsa arrived to its San Diego homeport after successfully completing the ship's maiden voyage from the Austal USA shipyard in Mobile, Alabama. Tulsa is the eighth ship in the littoral combat ship Independence-variant class and is scheduled for commissioning Feb. 16, 2019 in San Francisco.

GREAT LAKES, Ill. (July 18, 2022) - A family member hugs a Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) New Student Indoctrination (NSI) Cycle 2 midshipman following a graduation ceremony in the Midway Ceremonial Drill Hall at Recruit Training Command (RTC), July 18. Upon completion of NSI, the midshipmen will start their freshman year of the NROTC program at colleges and universities nationwide this fall. NSI is an indoctrination program hosted at RTC, and provides midshipmen with a common military training orientation. NSI provides basic training in five warfighting fundamentals - firefighting, damage control, seamanship, watchstanding and small arms handling and marksmanship - to begin creating basically trained and smartly disciplined future Navy and Marine Corps officers. NROTC is overseen by Commander, Naval Service Training Command (NSTC), Rear Adm. Jennifer S. Couture, which supports naval accessions training for 98 percent of the Navys new officers and enlisted Sailors.

SAN DIEGO (Aug. 23, 2022) Sailors from Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) reunite with their families after the ship returns from deployment. Fitzgerald, a part of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group, returned to Naval Base San Diego, following a seven-month deployment to the U.S. 3rd, 5th and 7th Fleets in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific.

BOSTON (Jul. 20, 2022) Caledonia, Michigan native, Seaman Alec Morris checked in aboard USS Constitution, July 20.USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents. The ship earned the nickname of Old Ironsides during the war of 1812 when British cannonballs were seen bouncing off the ships wooden hull.

Eighteen Sailors from CFAY and tenant commands were promoted to the rank of chief petty officer during the ceremony. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet's forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.

Family members reunite with Coast Guard Cutter Waesche (WMSL 751) crewmembers after the cutter returned home to Base Alameda, California, following a 90-day counternarcotics patrol, March 31, 2023. Waesches crew interdicted two suspected drug-smuggling vessels while patrolling international waters of the Eastern Pacific Ocean, resulting in the seizure of approximately 881 pounds of cocaine and 9,500 pounds of marijuana. BOSTON (Sept. 12, 2022) U.S. Navy Seaman Martienne Cabatingan, from Cebu City, Philippines, swears the Oath of Allegiance during a naturalization ceremony aboard USS Constitution. USS Constitution, is the worlds oldest commissioned warship afloat, and played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855. During normal operations, the active-duty Sailors stationed aboard USS Constitution provide free tours and offer public visitation to more than 600,000 people a year as they support the ships mission of promoting the Navys history and maritime heritage and raising awareness of the importance of a sustained naval presence. USS Constitution was undefeated in battle and destroyed or captured 33 opponents. The ship earned the nickname of Old Ironsides during the war of 1812 when British cannonballs were seen bouncing off the ships wooden hull.
