April 29, 1964Lined up at the Coventry Works are twelve Daimler 'Conquest' Saloons for used in the forthcoming Royal Tour. They will be shipped from Tilbury on September 30 and are due to arrive in Sydney on November 1.Four Daimler 'Straight-Eight' for use of the Royal party are already in Australia. These additional twelve conquests are being provided for the Australian Government for the use of officials of the Royal Tour. The care are standard models with the small exception that side lamps have blue lenses for recognition purposes. All the cars will stay in Australia at conclusion of the Royal tour.
