Atomic Cannon Used In "Battle Royal" -- The atomic cannon ready of use during yesterday's demonstration at Sennelager. The American Army's secret atomic cannon, the 280mm "Buccaneer" which can fire an atomic shell to devastate a city from a range of 20 miles, is being used in the great 150,000 British, Canadian Belgian, Dutch and American troops are taking part. Yesterday the mighty gun was demonstrated to representatives of the NATO forces. It is slung between the giant trucks and weighs 85 tons. The gun has complete mobility and can be moved at a speed of 35 mph. September 23, 1954.
