Buckfast Abbey Complete after 25 years -- An interior view of the magnificent Abbey.On August 25, the new Buckfast Abbey Church will be solemnly consecrated in the presence of Cardinal Bourne an member of the order from all parts of the world. Except for the stained glass and carving, the church was entirely the work of the Benedictine monks after 25 years of Noble Toil. With Masonry as their prayer, and starting with £1 - and faith, the monks completed the last seven bays of the church last week, which is a magnificent reminder of the Benedictine Abbey which stood at Buckfast, Devon, 800 years ago.
