Greeted by Coloniad Secretary - General Sir Alan Cunningham (centre) walking from the plane at Croydon Aerodrome with Mr. Creech Jones (on left).As a new outbreak of terrorism by Irgun Zvai Leumi (Jewish underground army) flared in Palestine, General Sir Alan Cunningham, British High Commissioner for Palestine, arrived at Croydon Aerodrome, London, from Jerusalem.He has come for consultations with Mr. Creech Jones, the Colonial Secretary - who was at the aerodrome to meet him - and probably with other members of the Government.It is believed the High Commission wishes to put the Cabinet in possession of the facts of the Palestine situation and to obtain their consent to measures necessary to restore order. Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid), 12/21/1959. Ike Eisenhower, then president of the United States, arrived in Madrid for a short visit to our country. Franco met him at the airport of the Torrejón de Ardoz joint base, at the foot of the plane steps, to welcome him. His visit meant, in fact, international acceptance of his regime.

Dutch Collaborators And Traitors -- Professor Van Dam, former Secretary-General of the Ministry of education. This man was responsible for the nazification of Dutch schools and universities.In Amsterdam at the Levantkade, where in times before the war shiplosds of Dutch East Indian products were unloaded and stored, about 4,000 collaborators, traitors, etc are now under safeguard.
