The two-day jumping show of the Beaufort Hunt took place at Badminton on Friday and Saturday April 22nd, and 23rd. among the competitors at this event was Britain's champion show jumper Miss Pat Smythe, who together with her equally famous horse "Prince Hall", is a familiar figure at horse shows all over the world. Lame: Led by jockey W. Williamson, Dalray limps back to the enclosure after his pointless defeat by Aldershot. His injured leg is circled. Start of the trouble. Dalray limping to scale after being beaten by Aldershot in the Ercildoune Stakes the previous Saturday.Leading in Dalray (injured left leg in circle) after its defeat in March this year. A week later Dalray broke down and was retired. March 8, 1953.

Tarien, Newmarket favorite, looked fresh as she went to the tracks for her gallop at Flemington today. In the saddle was her Newmarket jockey George Moore. March 16, 1953.

Forte, who won yesterday's big race at Ascot. "Chivalry" (right) in the storming photo finish with "King of the Tudore". June 16, 1954.

This finish will go down as having caused one of the biggest stirs in Australian racing history. It shows Tarien winning the Doncaster from Triclinium. A swab, later taken from Tarien, was reported to have been positive. April 05, 1953.
