Departure from Hr.Ms. Limburg from Den Helder to participate in the matchmaker III Squadron, checked by the swinging people on the shore. HR. Ms. Limburg (D814) was part of the NATO Squadron Matchmaker III from January 15 to March 3, 1967 (Matchmaker was the precursor of the Standing Naval Force Atlantic (StanavForlant) that has existed from 1968). During that period, Matchmaker III also consisted of USS Zellars (DD777), HMS Berwick (F115) and USS McCloy (DE1038). The Netherlands led the command about Matchmaker III from 15 January to 20 August 1967. Commander of the Matchmaker III Squadron (Commatchron) was Captain at sea F. Visee. Commander of the flagship HR. Ms. Limburg was Captain-Lieutenant at sea J. Jansen.

"Prinz Eugen" Off Spithead - Bound For U.S.A. As Naval Prize -- The "Prinz Eugen", with her crew of 500 German and 80 U.S.A. personnel, flying the Stars and Stripes, anchored off Spithead, Portsmouth, England. The "Prinz Eugen", memorable for her dramatic dash for freedom from Brest harbour under the fire of Allied bombers, is back again in Channel waters, and anchored off Spithead. It is understood that she is on her way as a naval prize to U.S.A. She is being brought from Bremen to Boston where she is to become "the subject of study and experimentation". January 15, 1946.

The Altmark had over 300 British sailors taken prisoner on board, who were rescued by the British crew and returned home.
