Australian Is City Of London's New Lord Mayor - The new lord Mayor of London Australian-born Sir Leslie Boyce, makes his speech of acceptance at the Guildhall. in the city of London, today (Saturday). The Lord Mayor is elected by citizens of London who are Guild liverymen. He takes office in November. The present Lord Mayor, Sir Denys Lowson, may be seen at the head of the table (at left).
