The Enclosed Valley.When this etching was still wet, Segers covered it with a piece of cloth. He pulled both through the press to make a so-called counterproof. This counterproof on cloth was not preserved. The blind print’, that is the imprint of the fabric in the paper, however, can be discerned in the etching.
