The caption reads:  Three Transatlantic Flyers. At the left is Colonel Charles A. Lindbergh, who was the first to fly from New York to Paris, May 20-21, 1927. In the center is Commander Richard E. Byrd, who was first to fly to the Pole, and who, with Bert Acosta, Bernt Balchen, and George O. Noville, flew from New York to France, June 29-30, 1927. At the right is Clarence  D. Chamberlain, who with Charles A Levine, flew from New York to Eisleben, Germany, June 4-6, 1927.
