Metropolitan Club was an independent professional team founded in 1880. They played games in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Hoboken, New Jersey, building a large fan base. Their independence allowed them to make money by playing exhibition games against all League teams. They were managed by Jim Mutrie (BSLOC_2018_4_123)

Seville, 1932. The Seville Swimming Club was founded in 1931, its president being the Barcelona champion and national record holder, Fábregas. It was no coincidence that the birth of the Club coincided with the inauguration of the beach pool, in the summer of that year. In the image, the Club's team of swimmers and water polo players from the first hour, in the beach pool. On the right, with a jacket and tie, Filipino coach César Miguel Reyes.

Cricket In 1866 -- King Edward - Then Prince of Wales - Was Bowled for a "Duck" the crowd was Annoyed and the Bowler was not Popular.Interesting Photophs of the Historic Cricket Match at Sandringham which King Edward went in First and Made a "Duck" are Hanging in the Pavilion at Lord's Ground London.King Edward (then Prince of Wales) who was 24, was playing for I. Zingari against Gentlemen of Norfolk. The Scores were I. Zingari, 277. (R.A. Fitzgerald 101): Gentlemen of Norfolk 119 and 60. The teams were 12 a side and the match lasted two days July 17 and 18, 1866. October 7, 1935.
