In Trim For Swim -- Florence Chadwick San Diego, Calif., conqueror of the English Channel in both directions, adjusts glasses, top, before entering the water, bottom, at Dover, England, for a practice swim. Florence has announced that she is ready to start her attempt at a double crossing of the Channel tomorrow morning. The Channel swim is the first of her ambitious projects. Two of Australias outstanding young swimmers Lyn Kingston (13) and Jann Grier (15) have a final workout at the Valley Baths for the Queensland Ladies' championships tonight. Lyn is one of the fastest freestylers for her age in Australia. Jann represented Australia at breaststroke in the Empire Games last year but now is concentrating on backstroke and free style.
