The SJ station was built in 1905. Stationshuset, on two floors in stone, was modernized in 1936. The Press Office has a kiosk with serving at the station

The experimental track Stockholm - järva.westinghouse -looked State Railways SJ ELLOK 1, in the picture is equipped with pantographs and overall pantographs (over -contact) type. Both of these contact management types were used between Stockholm Central and Tomteboda during the trials. The switchgear in the picture is switchgear II in Tomteboda. The person car is SJ Bo3 1506.

The photo shows the entrance to the then Södertälje. The left track comes from Saltskog. The track along the loading dock leads to the locomotive and the track to the right of the cargo dock leads to Södertälje Uthamn. The track among the trees on the right leads up to Södertälje Södra which when the picture was taken was still under construction.
