Boatswains Mate, Treepoint, Alaska. Coxswain smiles at Chief Boatswain's mate, after participating in the same service. It's one of marriage this time, though, as well as the United States Coast Guard. Coast Guard spar Ann Jacobs, Coxswain, of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, who volunteered for duty in Alaska, is very happy about the whole thing, for there she met and married H. E. "Jim" Gavin, Coast Guard Chief Boatswain's mate from Atlanta, Ga. Georgia. After a very short honeymoon in Ketchikan, the two of them set sail for an isolated northern isle and their private castle, which the U.S. Coast Guard calls "Tree Point Light Station," six hours away. Chief Gavin, who has six months more of service, is officer-in-charge of that lighthouse base. His wife received her discharge on their wedding day.

Queen And Children Wave From Balcony After 'Trooping'- The Queen, Prince Charles and Princess Anne wave from, the Buckingham palace balcony after the Queen's return to the palace balcony after the Queen's return to the palace following the traditional Trooping the Colour ceremony on Horse guards parade. From the balcony members of the Royal family the balcony members of the Royal family saw a fly-past of three squadrons of jet planes of the  Royal Auxiliary air force - the first occasion on which the Auxiliary air force has been given the honour. The Queen wears her scarlet tunic and dark blue riding habit as Colonel-in-chief of the Coldstream guards. She was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh, who is 33 today, wearing the uniform of Colonel of the Welsh guards.
