"New Look" In Old Canterbury A "new look" has come to the old-world city of Canterbury. Policewoman Joan Powis, is one of four policewomen who are performing traffic duty in the city's main street. The girls, ex-A.T.S and W.A.A.F's, maintain that they can carry out any police duties performed by men. February 26, 1949.
