Mugshots of Vincenzo Perruggia, an employee of the Louvre Museum who stole the Mona Lisa on August 21, 1911. He was caught two years later when he offered it for sale to the Uffizi Gallery in Florence. In Italy his actions were seen as patriotic and he served only few months in jail.

Gerard Flaherty.A Car bomb which seriously injured a man and his 10-month-old daughter was meant for someone else, the man's mother-in-law claimed today.The bomb went off when 30-year-old Gerard Flaherty tried to start the family car at his Penrith home last night.The explosion blew three fingers off one hand and his left leg was amputated in Nepean Hospital. November 13, 1951.
