Fortsetzung des Allgemeinen teutschen Garten-Magazins, Weimar, Im Verlage des Landes-Industrie-Comptoirs, 1815-1824, gardening, Germany, horticulture, periodicals, The illustration showcases three distinct wooden implements, each displaying unique designs for functional ends. At the top, the center piece features an elongated cylindrical structure with a curved, recessed handle, indicating a tool intended for gripping or maneuvering. Flanking this, the left and right implements present a more streamlined form with subtle variations in width, possibly indicating different uses or designs for specific tasks. The craftsmanship suggests attention to detail, with natural wood grain textures and the intricate shaping of the handles for enhanced usability. Each piece is labeled with reference to a specific figure number, indicating its significance in a larger collection or study of tools.

He had a small natural history collection of his own, including this marbled cone shell; it is similar in shape to the conus cervus, a ‘deer cone. He rendered the form and markings of the shell with meticulous care on the copperplate. Note that the shell appears in mirror image.Grace Halpin, Fireside Bellows, c 1937 Fireside BellowsThe cloth manufacturing: a wool comb, with and without torment, Willem van Mieris, 1672 - 1747 drawing paper. ink. chalk pen / brush wool (material ~ textile industry). carding, combing ~ textile industry (+ tools and appliances ~ crafts, industries, agriculture)Silver Spoon.
