A representation of the constellation of Cygnus from the 'Firmamentum Sobiescianum sive Uranographia' of Johannes Hevelius of Danzig (modern Gdansk), 1687. Hevelius's engravings picture the celestial sphere from the outside looking down at Earth, so the constellations and star patterns are a mirror image of our view from Earth.
