Gallie, former Scottish trade union official.The five members of the emergency committee, which is to run the port of London while the state of emergency is in force, meeting at Berkeley Square House, Berkeley Square here, are expected to decide whether to ask for more troops to take over the work of the striking dockers, and whether to call for civilian volunteers. These albums are attributed to Eva Braun (four are claimed by her friend Herta Schneider, nee Ostermeyer) and document her life from ca. 1913 to 1944. There are many photographs of Eva, her sisters and their children, Herta Schneider and her children, as well as photographs of Eva's vacations, family members and friends. Included also are photographs taken by and of Eva Braun at Hitler's chalet Berghof (or Kehlstein), photographs of Hitler and his entourage, visitors to Berghof and the scenery around Berchtesgaden, and some studio portraits of Eva and members of her family.

Eire Trade Pact Fixed.Britain signs Sir Stafford Gripps, signing the Anglo-Eire Trade pact for Britain this evening (Tuesday), watched by Mr. Costello Eire's Premier, Mr. Harold Wilson, Messers, Morrisey, McBride, Norton, Dillon, McGilligan, and Dulanty for Eire.The Prime Minister, Mr. Attlee, and Mr. Costello, the Eire Premier, this evening (Tuesday), initialled the Anglo-Eire trade agreement in the Prime Minister's Room in the House of Commons, Westminster. Britain will receive from Eire most of her production of fat cattle, and an un-restricted supply of eggs, butter and bacon. The actual signing of the pact will probably take place in two or three weeks time. June 22, 1948.

Food Gift From Australian Cricket Board Of Control -- (Left to Right):- Mrs. Strachey, Mr. Johnson, Don Bradman, Mr. Strachey and Mr. Lewis, Assistant Private Secretary to Mr. Strachey.The Australian Cricket Team who have just arrived in Britain brought with them a gift of food from the Australian Cricket Board of Control for free distribution in this country. The gift consists of 200 cases each containing 48-12 oz. tins of meat and the Board hopes that this gift will help to offset the foodstuffs eaten by the Australian Team during their stay in Britain. This gift is further evidence of the great goodwill being shown to us by the people of Australia. Since the beginning of 1946 they have sent us, for free distribution, nearly 660,000 cases of food, approximately 17,000 tons, and further cases are on the way. April 26, 1948.

Germans Acquitted After Trial By Allied Military Court -- After the Verdict Karl Rackbier (left) with Mrs. Hogen and her husband, Robert Michael Hogen. Mrs. Hogen was a witness during the trial. Two German civilians, Robert H. Hogen, aged 47, and Karl Rackbier, aged 37 were acquitted by a general allied military Government Court at ***** Belgium, on charges of Harbouring ***** soldiers, assisting them to and failing to report them to ***** authorities. The soldiers were ***** in a farmhouse owned by Rackbier, cousin of Hogen, a former Aachen ***** Who had been living with him after ***** bombed out. November 6, 1944.
