It is reported that the murderers missed a haul of 100,000 francs (about £100) hidden under one of the seats.Sir Jack Drummond, 61-year-old planner of Britain's war-time diet, his wife, and 12-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, have been found murdered in the foothills of the Alps, 15 miles from Grenoble. It appeared they had been shot and bludgeoned to death by brigands.
