David Jones, from Dearborn, Mich., command chaplain of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), says his final evening prayer while the ship is underway conducting sea trials, Dec. 12, 2022. The ship has successfully completed an 18-month-long Selected Restricted Availability (SRA) receiving various upgrades and repairs that enhanced the ships lifecycle and maintain her operational readiness. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region.
