Photograph of Nazi Prisoners Captured by American Troops on the French Invasion Coast. Mongoloid Types Among Nazi Prisoners Taken in France. Having marked Mongoloid characteristics, but not Japs, these two warriors of the Nazi armies were captured by American troops on the French invasion coast. They are shown eating chow with hundreds of other enemy prisoners aboard a Coast Guard manned troop transport on their way to prison camps in the United States. It is the first shipment of Nazis, captured in France, being brought to this country.

Under armed guard, parentless children and a pastor sit in the back of truck for their evacuation from Bainbridge Island, during the World War II internment of Japanese Americans. The orphans were interned at Manzanar's 'Children's Village,' the only orphanage in internment camps, to which 100 children from Alaska to San Diego were sent for the duration of the war. 1942.

Italian War Prisoners At U.S. Camp -- Italian prisoners of war eat in the mess hall of an internment camp in the Western U.S. The prisoners, identified by the letters "PW" on their clothing, administer their own affairs to a large degree besides doing clean-up and repair work at the camp. They are part of the more than 14,000 Italian prisoners brought to the United States after the victorious Allied campaign in North Africa. August 9, 1943.

Detachment 101, an enigmatic Allied intelligence and special operations unit during World War II, played a pivotal role in the Burmese theater. Operating deep in the jungles of Burma, their mission was multi-faceted, encompassing guerrilla warfare, espionage, and sabotage against Japanese forces. Comprising a diverse group of individuals, from OSS agents to indigenous fighters, they effectively disrupted Japanese supply lines, gathered critical intelligence, and supported resistance movements.
