U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, fire M119A2 105 mm howitzers during the reflagging ceremony of their unit to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 11th Airborne Division, June 6, 2022, at Pershing Parade Field, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. The activation returns the historic 11th Airborne Division to an active Army role, with a focus on operations in extreme cold weather and mountainous high-altitude environments. Ceremonies at Fort Wainwright and Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson reflagged the 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, into the 1st and 2nd brigade combat teams, 11th Airborne Division, respectively.

Passed Operational Censorship SWPA -- U.S. amphibious troop carriers, known as "alligators" undergoing intensive training exercises somewhere in the Southwest Pacific. This type of craft has been used extensively in the war against Japan. In the early days of the war the Allies were obliged to think in terms of defence, but the "alligators" are essentially an offensive Weapon. December 26, 1943.

A somewhat contrived imaginary scene, depicting gunners waving goodbye to 'Jack and Jill', horses that once played a far more intrinsic role in warfare, as they travel off in caterpillar tractor to 'face the dangers of the barrage'. Britain's Biggest Army Maneuvers Start in Southern England -- Tanks of the 5th, Tank Regiment of the 6th. Armored Division, passing through a typical English village of Amesbury, to take up positions in the northern part of the area. Exercise "surprise Packet" - the biggest Army maneuvers to be held in Britain is taking place over eight counties of Southern England involving some 50, 000 troops.
