The Breached Dike at Jaap Hannes and Houtewael. Repairs to the dike begun some time after the disaster. In the left foreground of the upper print is a pile driver, and at the right are fragments of the burst dike. At the left of the lower print can be discerned the temporary dam put up behind the dike, and in the middle the canteen of the recovery workers.
