George Robey, 79, has 80th Birthday Party -- George Robey facing a battery of microphones and gesticulating in his own inimitable style as he responds to good wishes. George Robey will not be 80 until September 20th next year, but today (Thurs.) he was given an 80th birthday party at Foyles literary luncheon at the Dorchester Hotel, London. George was born in 1869, and unlike most people he insists that his first birthday was the day on which he was brought into the world.
