Modern image of the silver trowel with which Cornelis de Graeff has placed the first stone on October 28, 1648 for the new city hall of Amsterdam. The show shows both the front of the trowel. On the back of the leaf an image of the downside of the trowel and of the four golden tokens that were manufactured on this occasion.
