As head of NASA s Space Task Group, he was responsible for planning and carrying out Project Mercury, the country's first manned spaceflight program. William Laurence (March 7, 1888 - March 19, 1977) was the official journalist of the Manhattan Project, and as such was the only eyewitness journalist present at the Trinity test in 1945, the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and the atomic bomb test at Bikini Atoll. He is credited with coining the term 'Atomic Age'.

Henry Miller (December 26, 1891 - June 7, 1980) was an American writer. He is best known for his semi-autobiographical novels based on his experiences in New York and Paris. His 1934 novel Tropic of Cancer was banned in the United States until a 1964 ruling in the U.S. Supreme Court declared the book non-obscene. Photo taken 1970s.
