Semafor 4 The semaphors came as they look today in the 1890s, however, they showed driving like 45*down instead of upwards. This turned out very practically if something broke down to a semaphore and it rolled down in the position "run" even though it was miscarried track barriers and oncoming trains on the line ... Therefore, SJ began the big job of replacing all old semaphors that showed down towards those who showed upwards instead. In 1915 this must have been finished. Gisses that in the same vein you started painting mast and wings yellow/red instead of white/red, although the latter occurred until semaphors were taken out of use. I have found two different dates on the last used semaphore. One says October 1980, Skahus, Småland.The others say in 1998, but no dates or places
