Rudolph Johann Joseph Rainier, Archduke of Austria, Cardinal and Archbishop of Olomouc (1788  1831), member of the House of Habsburg-Lorraine, and an Austrian clergyman and noble. He was consecrated as Archbishop of Olomouc (Olmütz) in 1819 and became cardinal in the same year. Rudolph is known for his patronage of the arts, most notably as sponsor of Ludwig van Beethoven who dedicated several of his works to him.

Pope Alexander VI, born Roderic Llançol i de Borja (1 January 1431 - 18 August 1503), was Pope from 11 August 1492 until his death. He is the most controversial of the Renaissance popes, because he broke the priestly vow of celibacy and had several legitimately acknowledged children. Therefore his Italianized Valencian surname, Borgia, became a byword for libertinism and nepotism, which are traditionally considered as characterizing his pontificate. However, two of Alexander's successors, Sixtus V and Urban VIII, described him as one of the most outstanding popes since St. Peter.

Justinian II (668-711), later known as Justinian the Slit-Nosed, was the eldest son of Emperor Constantine IV, and became joint emperor in 681. He later succeeded his father as sole emperor in 685, aged sixteen. Justinian was ambitious and passionate, wishing to restore the emperor to former glories and past successes. However, Justinian's lack of finesse and his poor attitude towards any opposition to his will led to resistance throughout his reign. He was eventually deposed in a popular uprising led by Leontios in 695, who proclaimed himself emperor and exiled Justinian after having his nose cut off. Justinian soon began plotting his return from exile in Crimea, gathering supporters to him. Justinian eventually regained the throne in 705 from usurper emperor Tiberios, having both Tiberios and the imprisoned Leontios dragged out in public and executing them. His second reign was even more contentious, marked by his turning on those who had helped him reclaim the throne. Another uprisi

Phra Bat Somdet Phra Poramenthramaha Isarasundhorn Phra Buddha Loetla Nabhalai, or Rama II (24 February 1767 - 21 July 1824), was the second monarch of Siam under the House of Chakri, ruling from 1809-1824. In 1809, Isarasundhorn succeeded his father Buddha Yodfa Chulaloke, the founder of Chakri dynasty, as Buddha Loetla Nabhalai the King of Siam. His reign was largely peaceful, devoid of major conflicts. His reign was known as the 'Golden Age of Rattanakosin Literature' as Buddha Loetla Nabhalai was patron to a number of poets in his court and the King himself was a renowned poet and artist. The most notable poet in his employ was the illustrious Sunthorn Phu, the author of Phra Aphai Mani.
