JOAN OF ARC RECOGNISES CHARLES VII. AMONG HIS COURTIERS.

Prayer for meals. A richly dressed family, consisting of parents and six children, on a set table, praying for the meal. The parents and some children are, the youngest stand. Two children seen on the back; The judge with a leitje on the belt. Left in the foreground a cradle for a bedside. The triptych above the chimney has the worship of Christ by the shepherds on the center panel, the panel on the right the fall and the panel on the left the crucifixion of Christ. The painting above the doorway shows the baptism of Christ. The stained glass windows depict from left to right: Tobias and the fish, the marriage of Tobias and Sara and the healing of Tobit. The meal prayer is related to the text of Psalm 128, in which it's about a man who is blessed with a fertile woman and children around his table. Under the show the text of PS. 128 in Dutch and French.

On an altar in a niche, the bust of Jan Nieuwenhuyzen, founder of society is the utility of 't General. Above a frame with the name, birth and death date of Nieuwenhuyzen. On the altar a motto in Latin (he planted there was nothing there). The bust is raised by the Dutch Virgo. For her society's personification that covered her tearded face and leans on the altar and her shield. On the other side of the altar, the godliness looks at the bust. Her hand is resting on a Bible (salvation), in the other she loves the snake that bites into his own tail (eternity) and a palm branch (peace). A young woman, who symbolizes youth, sacrifices on the altar of gratitude. In the foreground is love, which indicates the bust of the founder. Interior views focus on the apse and side chapel frescoes. In the apse: St. Mary Magdalen, St. Apollonia, St. James and two of his miracles, the Coronation of the Virgin. In the Cappella S. Sebastiano: St. Sebastian, St. Roch and Pope Gregory (1528 frescoes by Lo Spagna). To the right of the apse: the Madonna, Angels, Saints Peter, Anthony Abbot, and Bartholomew. Also views of altar paintings, reliquaries, gilt crucifix, and two wooden candle holders/statues of boys (17th century). Object Notes: Hutzel made two photo campaigns of this church, first on February 7, 1982 and then on January 31, 1983. There are only 50 different views for the 82 prints.
