The image shows the interior of the Booster Plant Pumping Station, looking west. It features three centrifugal pumps with a capacity of 4,500,000 gallons per day. The plant was constructed between April 1918 and 1919 and was operated by the Port Utilities, U.S.A. The photograph was taken by Sgt. Bonner on December 18, 1919.
