Image taken on February 12, 1918, at Camp Lewis in American Lake, Washington. The photo shows an international soccer game between the Camp Lewis team and Fragments (Canadian soldiers recently returned from France, recovering at Esquimalt Military Convalescent Hospital in Victoria, B.C.). The game ended in a tie with a score of 3-3. Gate receipts were divided between the Red Cross and a fund for the returned soldiers of Canada.
