Inscriptions: Weaver mark on right guard, bottom Two vases with flowers on ornamental band of shrubery in front of screen of greenery composed of plants with flowers & fruit amidst curling acanthus-like leaves (BRD) narrow band with geometric design of flowers in quatrelobe compartments Perhaps woven by Jan de Clynckere of Oudenaarde, whose mark resembles the one on the lower guard. Strip along bottom of central field looks odd but I believe is OK since the narrow border looks OK, & especially because of the presence of the weaver's mark; a rare mark.
