Köpings station was opened for traffic 1875-12-07. In 1939, the station house was rebuilt and thereby gained a modern interior. In connection with the electrification in 1947, freight warehouse was built. The yard was also rebuilt. The station has three industrial tracks to various industries. Kurj Lok 11. manufactured in 1916 by Helsingborg's mechanical workshop, manufacturing number 52. Scraped in 1962.

The State Railways, SJ C3 1533 and SJ Bo7 2812. This wagon was combined in 1893 by two two -axled wagons B1B 456 and 458. The former had originally been included in the royal train as "Crown Princess's carriage". In 1930, the wagon was rebuilt by SJ's workshop in Tomteboda for a measuring car for examination of the track location. As such, it was transferred to the service car park in 1962.

Freight wagons at the yard bangerbangården were built in 1878-82, with extensions 1903-04 and 1918. Northern main line and SWB, Stockholm - Västerås - Bergslagen railways, tracks, previously stated through the station, were moved in 1918 to its current stretch. At the station, on 1899 is committed and in 1931 modernized and expanded the main workshop.

NOJ LOK 28. Steam locomotive by train. The locomotive manufactured in 1916 by Motala Workshop with the shoulder sequence 1C-2.Möxtding Number577. The highest speed was 80 km per hour. Sold in 1946 to Sweden's railways, got Littera SJ l29 in 1782. Scrapped in 1963.
