This photo dates to 1922 and shows Washington Street in Boston, Massachusetts. The caption reads: The Principal business street of Boston, named in honor of General Washington when the Continental troops occupied the city in 1776, after the withdrawal of the British forces. On this thoroughfare are located many of the largest business houses, finest theatres, ands the great newspaper offices. The daily traffic is enormous.
