An Aerial Survey Of The Ogaden War Zone By The Associated Press Cameraman.An aerial view of the city of Dire Dawa - an important station on the Franco Ethiopian Railway which the Italians have promised not to bomb provided no troops are concentrated there or transported there.At the risk of being shot down by Italians, the associated press cameraman made a 700-mile aerial survey of the whole Ogaden war zone on November 22, the hazardous nature of the flight compelled the pilot to fly at a great height over Italian strongholds, and to maintain a speed of 200 m.p.h. the vast battlefront is illustrated as a barren, desolate waste, with only scattered human habitations, with no water visible anywhere, all rivers being dried up by the scorching sun.
