A "sneering male voice " called twice on the phone after the death of Mrs. Audrey Elva Cable and whispered to her mother, "Did your daughter look lovely in her coffin Did she wear a nice white satin night dress".Father of Mrs. Cable said this in the Coroner's Court today Cable has been charged with the murder of his wife, who died at her home, Dover Heights, shortly before midnight on September 22. At the previous hearing evidence was given that death was due to strychnine poisoning. Cable arrived at Court today in the custody of two detectives. October 31, 1946.
